IT WAS A HOT ONE!

Seven chidlers and one crazy teacher braved the sweltering heat, summer fever, and floating eyeballs in search of words. Words drive us crazy. They call our names; they tell us to put them in silly arrangements and offer the world. They frustrate and infuriate us to no end. Yet, we still go back to the page. Why? Because we love them.

The campers were few, but the writing was plentiful. We wrote and wrote and wrote until our hands could no longer take it and our brains sizzled like bacon. We all showed bravery and motivation to become better writers and readers. No easy task when your friends are swimming, riding their bikes and playing video games. You will be rewarded my young writers. Trust me. Work hard and the gift of writing never stops giving.

                                                                                                                    Until next time,
                                                                                                                    Gaetan Pappalardo
